Starting up a business during the pandemic has to be tough but Bree Sipia did just that. Last Thursday we had their one year in business anniversary ribbon cutting for Apricot Lane's Boutique located at 337 N. Montezuma. If you notice, the ribbon is blue not the red used for new business ribbon cuttings.
The anniversary ribbon cutting presentations included Judy Sultrop representing Senator Mark Kelly who passed on the congratulations from the senator, and Chamber of Commerce CEO Sheri Heiney who presented Apricot Lane Boutique's owner Bree Sipla with their "First Dollar" award. Our Master of Ceremonies was Ambassador Tom Lukes. Bree spoke briefly thanking the community and all that attended for the continued support of the business and also helping to make it a success. What an accomplishment when so many businesses closed last year due to the pandemic and yet Apricot Lane Boutique hung in there. We are so happy to have such a beautiful women's boutique store in our community! Click below and check them out! Jay's Bird Barn Prescott has evolved over time to include three stores under one roof - the Bird Barn, Arizona Field Optics, and Hallmark. Join owner, Eric Moore, as he guides us through the store and gives an in-depth look at all the things under the roof.

Does that sound familiar? The ribbon cutting for Makala Chadwick's State Farm Insurance office was held Thursday July 29, 2021. Their office is located at 3700 N. Robert Road Suite 1, Prescott Valley, AZ. Thanks to the Prescott Regulators and their Shady Ladies and all Ambassadors who attended and assisted with the ribbon cutting. Our M.C. was Prescott's Chamber Hunter Powell. In attendance was Jeff Timm representing Congressman Paul Gosar's office; Judy Sulltrop for Senator Mark Kelly; Ambassador Susan Cohen and Sheri Heiney for the Prescott Chamber of Commerce. Jeff Timm presented a Certificate of Appreciation from Congressman Gosar. Judy Sulltrop spoke on behalf of Senator Mark Kelly, and Ambassador Susan Cohen spoke for the Prescott Chamber and all the Ambassadors. Chamber staff member Stephanie Miller and member of the Prescott Young Professionals welcomed Makayla and staff as well. The Prescott Chamber of Commerce Board was represented by Chamber CEO Sheri Heiney who presented the "First Dollar" Certificate. Our last ribbon cutting was a ground-breaking held the Prescott Center for the Arts (PCA) located on 208 N. Marina St. in downtown Prescott. Mayor Greg Mengarelli was there representing the city and presented a Certificate of Recognition to Robyn Allen of the Prescott Center for the Arts. Gillian Haley Chamber Board member presented a Certificate of Special Recognition to Robyn. Jeff Timm attended and represented Congressman Paul Gosar’s office. Robyn Allen spoke briefly and was grateful for all the community support the center is receiving. The Project Architect for the future build was represented by Bill Otwell of Otwell & Associates, and Haley construction was represented by project contractor Allan Crary. Our MC was University of Arizona chamber intern, Lucas Forray. The PCA building is on the historic register so stop by and take a tour, for local history buffs it is fascinating to read the various plaques there about the history. The building was the old Sacred Heart Catholic Church and rectory dated from 1878. Rather than elaborate here, look at the photo below with the history, it once had a steeple over 115 feet tall and was struck by lightning several times. They have great Courtyard and artist’s gallery. Construction hasn’t started yet but it should be an outstanding addition. They were given an anonymous donation of 3 million dollars, unheard of these days and I think critically important to our downtown. The ribbon cutting held Thursday July 15 was for the Prescott Executive Offices located at 3623 Crossings Drive in Prescott. They offer a professional address, office suite with availability for conferences for businesses. This can be a big savings for small businesses that don't want to rent a small office space. They also provide a photo studio for those needing special photos, or backdrops along with lighting.
In attendance and speaking at the ribbon cutting: Judy Sultrop from U.S. Senator Mark Kelly's office; Jeff Timm representing U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar; and Councilman Phill Goode from the City of Prescott. The first dollar Certificate was given by Chamber Board Member Keith Nichols. Representing Prescott Executive Offices was Erik Knight. Our last ribbon cutting was held at 220 South Marina at the Center for the Future. As the Center's brochure explains, "The Prescott Center for the Future is a hub for innovation, incubation, attraction, growth and retention of companies and talent in key cutting-edge technology industries including Cybersecurtiy, Global Security, Agricultural Technology, Aerospace, Materials, and other related services." The brochure also listed the key mission: "To grow the number of quality-high paying technology jobs in the Prescott area by educating communities." Our Master of Ceremony was Sanford Cohen. In attendance was U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema's Office Inder Gunnala, U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar's Office, Jeff Timm, Yavapai Country Board of Supervisors Supervisor Harry Oberg, and Mayor Greg Mengarelli. |
