The ribbon cutting for Makala Chadwick's State Farm Insurance office was held Thursday July 29, 2021. Their office is located at 3700 N. Robert Road Suite 1, Prescott Valley, AZ. Thanks to the Prescott Regulators and their Shady Ladies and all Ambassadors who attended and assisted with the ribbon cutting. Our M.C. was Prescott's Chamber Hunter Powell. In attendance was Jeff Timm representing Congressman Paul Gosar's office; Judy Sulltrop for Senator Mark Kelly; Ambassador Susan Cohen and Sheri Heiney for the Prescott Chamber of Commerce. Jeff Timm presented a Certificate of Appreciation from Congressman Gosar. Judy Sulltrop spoke on behalf of Senator Mark Kelly, and Ambassador Susan Cohen spoke for the Prescott Chamber and all the Ambassadors. Chamber staff member Stephanie Miller and member of the Prescott Young Professionals welcomed Makayla and staff as well. The Prescott Chamber of Commerce Board was represented by Chamber CEO Sheri Heiney who presented the "First Dollar" Certificate.

Our last ribbon cutting was a ground-breaking held the Prescott Center for the Arts (PCA) located on 208 N. Marina St. in downtown Prescott. Mayor Greg Mengarelli was there representing the city and presented a Certificate of Recognition to Robyn Allen of the Prescott Center for the Arts. Gillian Haley Chamber Board member presented a Certificate of Special Recognition to Robyn. Jeff Timm attended and represented Congressman Paul Gosar’s office. Robyn Allen spoke briefly and was grateful for all the community support the center is receiving. The Project Architect for the future build was represented by Bill Otwell of Otwell & Associates, and Haley construction was represented by project contractor Allan Crary. Our MC was University of Arizona chamber intern, Lucas Forray. The PCA building is on the historic register so stop by and take a tour, for local history buffs it is fascinating to read the various plaques there about the history. The building was the old Sacred Heart Catholic Church and rectory dated from 1878. Rather than elaborate here, look at the photo below with the history, it once had a steeple over 115 feet tall and was struck by lightning several times. They have great Courtyard and artist’s gallery. Construction hasn’t started yet but it should be an outstanding addition. They were given an anonymous donation of 3 million dollars, unheard of these days and I think critically important to our downtown. The ribbon cutting held Thursday July 15 was for the Prescott Executive Offices located at 3623 Crossings Drive in Prescott. They offer a professional address, office suite with availability for conferences for businesses. This can be a big savings for small businesses that don't want to rent a small office space. They also provide a photo studio for those needing special photos, or backdrops along with lighting.
In attendance and speaking at the ribbon cutting: Judy Sultrop from U.S. Senator Mark Kelly's office; Jeff Timm representing U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar; and Councilman Phill Goode from the City of Prescott. The first dollar Certificate was given by Chamber Board Member Keith Nichols. Representing Prescott Executive Offices was Erik Knight. Our last ribbon cutting was held at 220 South Marina at the Center for the Future. As the Center's brochure explains, "The Prescott Center for the Future is a hub for innovation, incubation, attraction, growth and retention of companies and talent in key cutting-edge technology industries including Cybersecurtiy, Global Security, Agricultural Technology, Aerospace, Materials, and other related services." The brochure also listed the key mission: "To grow the number of quality-high paying technology jobs in the Prescott area by educating communities." Our Master of Ceremony was Sanford Cohen. In attendance was U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema's Office Inder Gunnala, U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar's Office, Jeff Timm, Yavapai Country Board of Supervisors Supervisor Harry Oberg, and Mayor Greg Mengarelli. U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar's office was represented by Teresa Martinez who presented the president of the Prescott mountain Bike Alliance, Ximen Florez a Certificate of Appreciation from the Congressman's office. A Certificate of Recognition was presented to Ximen by Prescott Chamber Board member Mackenzie Rodgers. The City of Prescott was represented by Mayor Pro Tem Scholl and council member Rusing. Also speaking briefly was Community Outreach Coordinator at Dignity Health, Yavapai Regional Medical Center, was Rosanne Hull. Ximen Florez thank all in attendance and for all the hard work and donations to make this track possible as part of the park area. Also speaking briefly was Park and Recreation Director Joe Baynes. It was a hot sultry afternoon but that didn't stop all the young bike enthusiasts from running the track. |
