Picture
Ready to learn all about the rich history of Prescott, search for hidden clues, and soak in the beauty of Arizona’s 1864 territorial capital at the same time?

The Prescott Heritage Trail and History Hunt Adventure bring the history of Prescott and beauty of the area to you in an easy to follow tour. These self guided activities lead visitors and residents through a real-life historical walking tour of downtown Prescott and some of the great historical landmarks and cultural attractions. When did the fire level Whiskey Row and 25 saloons? Where were the first silent films shown in Prescott? Which hotel sold shares in the original project for just $1 each? These questions and so many more will be answered on the Prescott Heritage Trail & History Hunt Adventure.

Prescott holds a place in the history of Arizona not only for the local community, but also for the state, and the American Southwest. Through the historic preservation efforts, locals and visitors alike can enjoy the cherished and preserved pieces from the past. These treasures include the old Governor’s Mansion on the grounds of the Sharlot Hall Museum, the 1927 Hassayampa Inn, the Elks Theater and so many more.
