James Family Prescott YMCA
Since its establishment in the community in 1914, the James Family Prescott YMCA has been an important resource for recreation, education and overall wellness for community members of all ages. The area’s most extensive health and wellness facility features amenities such as: a 6,200 square foot fitness and wellness center, a full size gymnasium, several group exercise studios, a gymnastics center featuring an expansive new safety pit, and an aquatics center equipped with two indoor pools. The YMCA offers a full range of programming for all ages – toddlers through seniors. Just a few YMCA program offerings include adult/ youth sports leagues, before and after school programs, preschool and daycare, camp, dance, swimming lessons, scuba training, and over 100 group fitness classes – all available free or at special rates for James Family Prescott YMCA Members.

Elks Theatre & Performing Arts Center
The Elks Theatre and Performing Arts Center, was built by the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge #330 in 1905; listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The 487 seat Theatre has been fully remodeled and restored to its original turn of the century style and beauty. With stadium style seating and opera boxes there is not a bad seat in the house. The Theatre is the perfect place in the Quad Cities to see a musical show, a theatrical presentation or hold a graduation. It is also available to lease for weddings, musical presentations or business meetings. The Performing Arts Center occupying the top two floors of the Theatre complex completed remodeling in 2016. The second floor has two dance studios, each over seven hundred square feet with state of the art music systems and lighting. Dance Hall 1 has Prescott’s only professional Sprung Marley floor with Ballet Barre while Dance Hall 2 sports a floating Hickory surface. Complementing the dance halls on the second floor are five Wenger “SoundLok” Music isolation booths for voice and instrumental practice. On the third floor of the Performing Arts Center there are two event halls with a total floor capacity of up to 200 people. Event Hall 1 also has a full kitchen available. It is the newest place in Prescott surrounding the Courthouse Square to hold your reception, party, Quinceanera, business meeting or seminar.

Mountain Artists Guild & Gallery
Since 1949, Mountain Artists Guild (MAG) has been supporting the Arts in Prescott, AZ and Yavapai County. Founding members included George Phippen. Currently with almost 300 members, MAG a 501(c)3 non-profit, is committed to the emerging artist with educational programs including workshops by master artists, art for youth, youth camp, open studios (water color, acrylics, oils, mixed media and portraiture) and a gallery to feature our member’s artistic talents. MAG is committed to educating youth and has scholarships that are awarded annually to those entering or attending college and working on their fine arts degree. The Guild holds an annual Scholarship Auction with art and both silent and live auctions that include gifts from our members and local community businesses. Other programs support seniors who want to explore their creative talents in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Annually, MAG holds two festivals on the courthouse square in Prescott with over 150 artists and 10 wineries in May and arts & crafts in August. In October, we sponsor Studio Tour, with over 40 artist’s studios and 4 art centers. Primarily a volunteer organization, MAG welcomes all those interested in the arts to join and invites everyone to attend our monthly 4th Friday event from 5pm–7pm with refreshments in our gallery and meet our featured artist(s). Prescott Center for the Arts (PCA)
Prescott Center for the Arts is Prescott’s largest and longest running community theatre/gallery, producing and presenting a large array of live theatrical, musical and visual arts events about 48 weeks out of the year on two stages (Mainstage 194 seats), Stage Too (black-box, seating 40- 45) and beautiful gallery. Prescott Film Festival
The Prescott Film Festival hosts special screenings throughout the year and holds its annual festival each summer. Special events during the year include a silent film with live accompaniment on Halloween, Valentines Dinner and an Evening of Romantic Shorts and Oscar Month, including “An Evening at the Academy Awards(r)” fundraiser each February. The Oscars(r) are televised “on the big screen” and the red carpet is literally rolled out! The festival brings the best films from across the globe that “Entertain, Inspire and Inform.” Guest filmmakers attend many screenings and answer questions after their films screen. Free workshops are part of the annual fest, where industry professionals share their expertise. The festival is presented on the Prescott Campus of Yavapai College and the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center.

Yavapai College Performing Arts Center and Art Museum
The Yavapai College Performing Arts Center (YCPAC) has become Northern Arizona’s premier entertainment venue. Located in downtown Prescott, this gorgeous, remodeled facility wraps a vibrant, spacious lobby and art museum around a 1,064-seat auditorium that offers an intimate performance experience with more than 200 events a year. Each season, YCPAC presents a stunning array of music, theatrical and dance events. From national headliner to touring productions to emerging artists and homegrown performers, the YCPAC always offers art that amazes and inspires.

Prescott Chamber Orchestra
The Prescott Chamber Orchestra is celebrating its 36th season playing for Prescott audiences, making the oldest local orchestra in our community. Showcasing the considerable talents of professional and semi-professional musicians, the PCO presents classical music concerts featuring a wonderful variety of works from well-known composers such as Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Handel and more, performed with a full chamber, all strings, and even smaller Baroque era orchestras. In addition to presenting world-class guests soloists, both instrumental and voice, the orchestra’s mission emphasizes the development of promising young musicians by providing opportunities to perform with a professional orchestra, featuring them in concert “Young Musician Spotlights” or as special guest soloists. The Prescott Chamber Orchestra also provides scholarships to support their further education. The PCO performs at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 2000 Shepherds Lane in Prescott. Tickets are available online through the PCO’s website and on concert day at the door.

Central Arizona Concert Band
The Central Arizona Concert Band performs four concerts in the Davis Learning Center Auditorium at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University each season, plus free performances in the Prescott Courthouse Square every summer.

Prescott Pops Symphony
After nearly 27 years, the Prescott Pops Symphony has established itself as Prescott’s premier orchestra, with a unique contribution to the culture of the community. Their goal is to provide the highest quality, dynamic and accessible symphonic entertainment to local audiences; to offer challenging and inspiring performance opportunities to talented youth and seasoned musicians; and to support the perpetual promotion of music as a vital part of the community through donations and scholarships to schools and students. The Prescott POPS Symphony is a nonprofit organization. Every season Music Director & Conductor, Joseph Place, Associate Conductor, Erin Sobo, and Choir Director, Darrell Rowader, bring new and exciting performances to YCPAC. Yavapai Symphony Association
The Yavapai Symphony Association is proud to make this the 52nd year of bringing the Phoenix Symphony and their world famous soloists to Prescott. Concerts for our 2018 – 2019 Season are September 30 and November 4 in 2018 and January 13, January 27, March 31, April 14, and May19 in 2019. The Sunday afternoon concerts are at 3pm at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center with tickets ranging in price from $29 to $42. Tickets are only available by calling 928-776- 4255, visiting our office, or at the hall the day of performance.

The Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium
Open in 2017, the Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium is the only Arizona planetarium north of Phoenix, and is capable of seating 116 students and visitors, showing them the cosmos in 360-degree 4k resolution. Much more than just a planetarium, the facility contains multi-media learning software that can take viewers from the inner complexities of the human body to the farthest reaches of the known universe. In addition to being an invaluable resource for faculty and students of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott campus, the Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium hosts events and programming open to the greater Prescott and Quad-City public year-round. There are shows for the public most Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The Planetarium offers shows for the public most Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Findlay Toyota Center
Built in 2006, this modern multi-purpose venue stands as a premier site for concerts, sporting events, fairs, expos, stage shows and a variety of other special events. The arena seats over 6,000 for concerts and 4,000 for sporting events. The arena is available for rent for private events of all sizes, from small business meetings, birthday and anniversary parties to luncheons, fundraising dinners, banquets, graduations, weddings, galas, and sporting events. The parking area is also available for rent for events such as RV and car shows and carnivals. Private catering is available for events of all sizes and provided by the in-house caterer, Gabby’s Kitchen.
