Founded in 1987, High Plains Tradition is the longest running Bluegrass band from Colorado at this time. For 38 years we have brought our Traditional Bluegrass Music to fans from California to Kentucky and from Texas to Canada. We have done 6 successful tours of Ireland as well. Original members Kenny Pabst and Doug Elrick have seen High Plains Tradition begin as a bar act and graduate to Major Festivals and Concerts throughout the Midwest and West. With Steve Gilmore on guitar and vocals, Mark Leslie on banjo and vocals, and Bobbie Vickery on fiddle and vocals, we play mostly Traditional Bluegrass but also have been know to throw in Country, Swing and a Gerswin tune or two. You never know what could happen on stage with their powerful music and hilarious banter. Audiences have said "WOW'. "We never expected that. They are so entertaining."
